The Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) is responsible for the development of the national curriculum, administration of national assessments and associated reporting on schooling in Australia. ACARA provides curriculum from Prep to Year 6. Teachers at Gaven State School directly use Australian Curriculum to plan and deliver units of work and assessment from Prep to Year 6.
