Gaven State School has a compulsory school uniform approved by the school's Parents and Citizens' Association. Gaven State School students wear the uniform when:
- attending or representing their school
- travelling to and from school
- engaging in school activities out of school hours.
The school's dress code outines the uniform requirements and consequences for failing to comply with this code.
